Hair Loss Products #1 - Propecia

Propecia is the only hair loss remedy that the Food Drug Administration (USA) approves of. This is great news for sufferers - major backing on the hair loss treatments performance and safety - the latter of which is often ignored.

Propecia specializes in hair loss on the top of the head in men, which is the most common complaint.

Propecia basically stops the formation of DHT, the hormone that damages the hairs ability to grow. Almost 80% of men grew back some of their lost hair in the FDA study. You may see results in just three months, however to continue to win the battle with DHT this hair loss treatment requires you keep on taking it.

Propecia hair loss treatment is for men only and is unsafe for women due to the hormonal basis of its work. Females should even avoid handling the pills especially if they are or could be pregnant. The side effects to this hair loss product are a declined interest in sex, and difficulty in achieving an erection. However, those that were affected have confirmed the side effects ended when they stopped taking the hair loss remedy - which is obviously good news, but still concerns us!

Take Propecia daily and you could see results in as little as 3 months. If you stop taking Propecia, however, your results will gradually go away over 12 months. And if it hasn't worked in 12 months, it is unlikely to be of benefit so check out other methods.

Hair Loss Products #2 - Avacor

We have researched Avacor product with our readers and scientifically and are unable to recommend it despite it being the third best selling hair loss product on the internet. Avacor contains many herbs including Ginko and Bilberry both of which are not absolutely confirmed to help hair loss.

Our biggest concern with Avacor is that Avacor is being promoted under Dr Gordon who is no longer licensed to practice medicine as he was involved in a medical scam and sent to jail because of it. Who would have known that hair loss products would have involved so much scandal?!

On top of that, Avacor has not yet passed the FDA approval process, so we think it is a no go area at the moment.

Hair Loss Products #2 - Rogaine

Rogaine is a hair loss product for women. Rogaine is specifically for use on the scalp and needs to be used twice daily for four months to see results.

However, we have discovered that in 8 months of use only 7% of women saw moderate regrowth when using Rogaine hair loss products which we feel is disappointing.

But don't panick, Rogaine is not the only product out there. We found much more joy from our other research…
